IBPS PO 2016 Exam Date

IBPS PO 2016 prelims and mains exam dates are announced.
IBPS PO Prelims exam dates — 16th, 22nd and 23rd of October 2016
IBPS PO Mains exam date — 20th November 2016.



IBPS PO 2016 Eligibility criteria

The IBPS PO eligibility criteria mainly depend on the candidate’s educational qualification and Age limit.


Age limit –
To join IBPS PO, your age must be within the range of 21 to 30 years for general category candidates.

Age relaxation for the reserved category candidates are as follows –

  1. SC/ST-Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
  2. OBC-Other Backward Classes 3 years
  3. PWD-Persons With Disabilities 10 years
  4. Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs. 5 years
  5. Persons ordinarily domiciled in J & K state 5 years
  6. Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years


Education qualification –
You must have a graduation (degree) from any govt recognizes college/university to apply for IBPS PO exam. If you are studying in the final year of your graduation, You can also apply for this IBPS PO exam 2016.
But, you should produce your original degree marks-sheet at the time time of interview.


Citizenship –
To apply for IBPS PO Exam, a candidate should be a Citizen of India and migrated people from the various countries.


Application Fees –
Rs.600/- should be payed by All General and OBC category students as application fees.
Rs. 100/- should be payed by ST/SC/PWD students as application fees.


Selection Process –
IBPS PO selection process is of three parts as below.

Part 1: IBPS PO Prelims Exam : This is an computer based test. A candidate gets option to answer multiple choice questions in online mode only. In this exam, 100 questions will be asked for 100 marks.

Part 2: IBPS PO Mains Exam : After qualifying in the prelims exam, selected candidates will have to qualify in the IBPS PO Mains exam. This Exam includes objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks.

Part 3: Interview : After qualifying in all the above mentioned Exams ( both Prelims and Mains), you should attend and qualify in the personal interview for various banks against their notifications for PO careers.
